"He was not injured. We had just rested him on the field as a precautionary measure as he will part of India’s Champions Trophy squad," said a Saurashtra team member as quoted by Indian Express.

The bowler came to bat at No.9 as well. Nevertheless, Jadeja is an important member in the Indian team as an all-rounder and if he becomes injuried, the selectors will have a tough time figuring out the team combinations for the ICC event. As the Champions Trophy is approaching soon, team India will be under strict guidance to prevent unwanted injuries.
