The Indian cricket team is all set to take on Bangladesh in a two-match Test series starting on September 19. The first match will be held at the historic M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. While both teams are engrossed in their preparations, the Indians have gone a step further. Bangladesh have included their six-foot-five-inch bowler Nahid Rana for the upcoming series. To counter this Bangladesh's selection, Indians have come up with a similar player.

The Indian management have found Gurnoor Brar, a brilliant player who will help the batters in the nets before the start of the Bangladesh series. He is also six feet 4.5 inches tall and has played in five first-class games. The 24-year-old player doesn't have much experience on the field, but his height and pace will be important for batters to get used to of the pace from a taller bowler. Even though Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj are there, the height can make a difference.

If we talk about Nahid Rana, he's an exceptional player whose performance was impressive in the Pakistan series. He bowled at a speed of 150 mph, which didn't allow the Pakistan batters to settle down. The same thing might happen for the Indian team as well. Hence, to prevent this damage, the Rohit Sharma-led team were seen practicing with Brar ahead of the series.

Rohit Sharma-Virat Kohli to be seen together

After a long wait, India will play in their home ground against Bangladesh starting on September 19. For the upcoming series, the fans are quite excited for multiple reasons. The first one will be to watch Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma bat together in the whites. Apart from that, watching red-ball cricket is another best thing for the fans.

Moreover, the series falls under the WTC cycle, so the Indian team will definitely put all their efforts in the series. Also, the bowling sensation of India, Jasprit Bumrah will return to cricket after a really long time. His inclusion in the team and Mohammed Siraj make the Indian bowling attack quite strong.
