The ongoing ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 has reached a point where India depends on Pakistan to qualify for the semi-finals. Well, as dramatic as it may sound, India's loss against Australia is the main reason behind the dependence on Pakistan. Now, the Women in Green will have to beat New Zealand in their upcoming match, which will open the door for India to qualify.

Speaking about the match, Indian women's team coach Amol Muzumdar wished the Pakistan team ahead of their clash against the Kiwis. During the press conference, a journalist referred to the connection with Pakistan's win to India where Muzumdar said, "That's a good question ... well, I just want to wish Pakistan all the best. That's all I can say. But we will be watching the game very closely, that's for sure."

India lost the encounter against Australia by a narrow margin of nine runs, which was upsetting. Harmanpreet Kaur's 54-run knock went in vain as she couldn't take the team past the victory line. The last over was crucial, but Harmanpreet was away from the strike, which created a difference for the team. Additionally, Sutherland's bowling was top-notch, as she didn't let Harmanpreet strike the ball. Now, India will have to sit and support Pakistan to make it to the top four.

We care for each other: Amol Muzumdar

Amol Muzumdar took a stand for the Indian team and said that he wouldn't pinpoint the mistakes out loud. It's a team game and it was everybody's responsibility to play well and win the game. There is a bond between the teammates, and they like to keep it that way. Muzumdar was also confident about the positive outcome in the upcoming days and asked everyone to remain calm.

"At this moment in time, I wouldn't like to pinpoint the 14th or 16th over. It's a collective effort. We're in it all together. We said at the start of the game that whatever happens, this group is a special group. We care for each other," added Amol Muzumdar.
