The ODI World Cup 2023 is etched in the memories of Indian fans even today. The way Travis Head performed was brilliant, but it broke the hearts of the fans and left the Indian team trophyless. Talking about that performance and the incident, former head coach Rahul Dravid shed light on the Head's performance and said that in sports events like this happens when, at one moment, the game will be in your hands, and the next moment, it will slip away.

Rahul gave a detailed explanation as to when Head couldn't play 15 balls and they thought that they'd get dismissed sooner or later. However, that never happened. The former head coach said, "I remember whatever it was, we beat Travis Head's bat 15 times - he did not touch a single ball. You know, things can go your way sometimes, but you have to stick to the process. I have had time to reflect on it."

While it wasn't India's day, the T20 World Cup 2024 did calm the fans and the players to a certain extent. Moreover, knocking Australia out of the World Cup in the Super 8 was something which will be remembered for a long time. Rahul said, "I have had time to reflect on a lot of things we have done. You do realise, sometimes, you have to do a lot of these things, you have to do the process, you have to do everything right."

Sometimes at the end of the day, you need a little bit of luck: Rahul Dravid

While most cricket fans don't agree that luck is needed in sports, head coach Rahul Dravid spoke about it. As per Dravid, skills are important, but the luck factor matters as well, and that was one of the reasons India lost the game against Australia in the ODI World Cup 2023.

"Sometimes at the end of the day, you need a little bit of luck. Sometimes (it is) the skill, but we needed a guy who could keep his foot within one inch of a line," he added.
