The 30th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 broke all records as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) went on to score 287 runs in 20 overs. They broke their record of 277 runs which they made against the Mumbai Indians (MI) earlier this season. Moreover, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's batting was nothing sort of entertainment for the fans as they scored 262 runs and lost the match by just 25 runs.
It was showering boundaries and sixes at the Chinnaswamy Stadium and the audience did get some 'value-for-money' performances the whole time. However, the only person who was seen as exhausted and heartbroken during this whole time was RCB's Virat Kohli. In a video that went viral on social media, Virat was seen devastated by the SRH's batting performances.

Virat Kohli is leading the Orange Cap list with 361 runs in seven innings. He scored 40 runs off 22 balls, however, the entire limelight was taken by Dinesh Kartik who scored a wonderful 83 runs off 35 balls. Thanks to Kartik, RCB could reach a total of 267 runs, even though it wasn't enough for them to win the match. Moreover, the batting performance is the only positive takeaway RCB has from this match.

After a marvellous batting performance, skipper Faf du Plessis talks about the mistakes they made during the match at the post-match presentation. It wasn't a great day for RCB in terms of bowling as the team's mental state is quite visible during their fielding. The bowlers are low on confidence and that's affecting the entire team. With this loss, RCB is unofficially out of the tournament.
"We tried a few things, we tried different things. There's no way to hide when your confidence is low. The fast bowlers found it quite difficult out there. Similar to the batting perspective, we need to work on few areas. Need to make sure the run rate doesn't go down after powerplay," said du Plessis at the post-match presentation.
