Indian fans are well known for their habit of criticizing their own players in foreign lands. One such incident occurred in Sri Lanka, where the Indian team was practising ahead of the ODI series, and some fans were reportedly heard calling Virat Kohli as 'Chokli.' This slang is mostly used by trollers on social media to demean the batting legend. Most of the time, Kohli ignores the trolls, but this time, he chooses to turn back and give a solid reply to the trollers.

The video, which went viral on social media, shows Kohli's response to someone calling him Chokli. He replied with 'Not Here' which silenced the entire crowd. The right-handed batter was shadow-practicing inside a room when this entire episode happened.

Kohli has returned to Sri Lanka to play the ODI series along with Rohit Sharma and other players who weren't a part of the T20I squad. The series is set to start on August 2. The players were engaged in a practice session in Colombo, where it was Kohli's first session after the T20 World Cup 2024 win. The batter must have returned with a whole lot of confidence after winning the ICC tournament.

India clean sweep Sri Lanka in T20I series, 3-0

In the T20I series, with a new team and a new captain, India won the series 3-0. It was an impressive show by the young players as they fought well against the Sri Lankan team. The first match was an easy win, but the second and third matches were quite tricky due to rain interference during the game. However, the players managed it really well and hence, won the series.

The most shocking and dramatic part of the series was when Riyan Parag, Rinku Singh, and Suryakumar Yadav bowled in death overs. Moreover, they even dismissed 2-3 batters during their spells. This is the best start to SKY's captaincy career and Gautam Gambhir's coaching stint.
