Former RCB skipper and the modern-day batting great, Virat Kohli has been in sensational batting form against KKR in the ongoing tournament opener of IPL 2025. He came, alongside Phil Salt, to open the innings for RCB and stitched an amazing opening partnership of 95 runs in just 8.3 overs.

Kohli has belted the KKR bowlers across all corners of the ground, with 4 fours and three sixes, scoring 58 runs off just 35 balls so far in the ongoing game against KKR.

Speaking of the action of the game, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has scored 157 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets in 15 overs. Former skipper Virat Kohli and current skipper Rajat Patidar are there in the middle at individual scores of 58 and 30 runs off just 35 and 14 balls, respectively. 
Earlier in the innings, RCB’s newly-recruited Phil Salt smashed 56 runs off just 35 balls, with 4 fours and three sixes. Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine have scalped a wicket each for KKR in the second innings so far.

Speaking of KKR’s performance in the first innings of the game, they posted a decent total of 174 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Skipper Ajinkya Rahane smashed 56 runs off just 31 balls, with six fours and four sixes following Sunil Narine’s 44 runs off just 26 balls, with five fours and three sixes. Later in the middle order, Angkrish Raghuvanshi also scored 30 runs off 22 balls, with two fours and a six.

RCB’s Krunal Pandya scalped 3 wickets, alongside 2 wickets picked by Josh Hazlewood. Apart from these two, Yash Dayal, Rasikh Salam, Krunal Pandya, and Suyash Sharma also bagged a wicket each in the first innings.
