Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by six wickets to go top of the table in the IPL 2025 table. Krunal Pandya and Virat Kohli led the chase with the bat as the visitors won their sixth successive game of the season away from home. Pandya scored his second IPL fifty to stay not out on 73 off 47 balls with five boundaries and four sixes.

The cameras were focused on Virat Kohli, who seemed to be having an animated conversation with KL Rahul in the middle of the game. Once the game was over, Kohli recreated Rahul's "this is my ground celebration" from their previous meeting in Bengaluru.

Virat Kohli scored yet another fifty in the current season before falling for 51 off 47 balls. The former RCB skipper was dismissed by Dushmanta Chameera on the fifth ball of the 18th over with the visitors needing just 18 runs off 13 balls. Pandya and Kohli added 119 runs for the fourth wicket in 83 balls to swing the game in RCB’s favor.

At one stage, RCB were struggling at 26 for three at the end of four overs. Axar Patel got the wicket of Jacob Bethell for 12 caught by Karun Nair. In the same over, Padikkal dragged one back onto his stumps for a two-ball duck. Karin Nair then pulled off a sensational throw to run out Rajat Patidar for six runs.

The win on Sunday now puts RCB at the top of the IPL 2025 points table. Patidar’s men have 14 points from 10 games, while Delhi have 12 points from nine matches and are fourth in the table. The next game for Delhi is against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders. Gujarat Titans, who take on Rajasthan Royals on Monday, are second, with Mumbai Indians in the third spot.

The day belonged to Krunal Pandya, who got his first IPL fifty after nine long years. The left-handed batter came out to bat in the fifth over and started cautiously. Once he got his eye in, Pandya went after the bowlers and scored boundaries and sixes at will to put pressure on the DC bowlers. Krunal reached his fifty with a boundary and was given a warm applause by his teammates.

Virat Kohli played the perfect foil as he ran hard between the wickets. With Pandya striking boundaries at one end, Kohli joined in the fun with a few boundaries. Mukesh Kumar bowled the 19th over and saw Tim David hit one six and three fours to finish the game.
