The incident in question happened in the second ball of the 12th over when Yash Dayal bowled a slower ball to Yadav. The batter couldn’t time the ball well as he went for wild hoick across the line and saw the ball carrying to Dayal. It was at this moment that wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma came running and had a collision with the bowler.

Yadav had given up as he put his head down and was walking to the non-strikers end. Much to the relief of the batter, the catch was dropped as both the bowler and the keeper were seen arguing with each other. Kohli, was seen angry at the huge catch dropped as he flung his cap on the ground in despair.

RCB though had the last laugh as Yadav was out few balls later when he offered a simple catch to Tim David in the final ball of the over. Yadav,, went for yet another huge hit but was out for 28 runs from 26 balls with five hits to the fence. Krunal Pandya had dropped an easy catch in the previous over when Yadav was batting on 23.

RCB bowlers tighten the noose on MI’s batters

Chasing 221 to win, Rohit Sharma scored a brisk 17 runs from eight balls with the help of one four and two sixes. Dayal, then got the wicket of Rohit when the pacer swung the ball back into the batter and disturbed the furniture. Josh Hazlewood then got the wicket of Ryan Rickelton for 17 runs.

The batter was struck flush on his pads by the bowler but the umpire didn’t give the decision in RCB’s favor. Rajat Patidar went up for the DRS and saw the ball just pitching inside the leg-stump line and the RCB players began to celebrate the wicket. Will Jacks was the third wicket to fall when he was dismissed by Krunal Pandya caught by Kohli for 22 runs.
