RCB’s official social media handle put out a short video where CSK fans can be seen watching the practice. The 36-year-old made his way to the stand where the fans were seen asking him for autographs and selfies. One CSK fan could be seen wishing Kohli luck ahead of the massive game.

Bengaluru began the season with an easy seven-wicket win over current holders Kolkata Knight Riders. Kohli scored an unbeaten half-century in the game at the Eden Gardens. Chennai Super Kings too have made a winning start to their campaign as they beat Mumbai Indians at home.

Chennai Super Kings looking for revenge

The last meeting between the two sides was in Bengaluru in the previous season of the IPL. RCB had beaten CSK and entered the playoffs at the expense of the then-defending champions. Ruturaj Gaikwad and his side will be looking to exact revenge and continue their proud record at home against their rivals.

Meanwhile, former India batter Navjot Singh Sidhu has revealed the real reason behind RCB’s inability to win the title. The veteran commentator was heard saying during the Gujarat Titans versus PBKS game, “Virat Kohli couldn’t have won several IPL titles for scoring runs was the only criterion. He has been scoring runs every year, but RCB is still trophyless. A player alone can’t win a title. You need a team combination to achieve success in IPL”

Virat Kohli is the leading run-scorer in the history of the Indian Premier League. The 36-year-old has scored over 8000 with the bat and was the orange cap winner last season. As far as the head-to-head record is concerned, CSK have won 21 matches with RCB winning 11 and one match yielding no result.
