Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have started their pre-training camp in Mumbai ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The players are enjoying the practice sessions as they have to face the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the first game of the tournament. During the practice sessions, a hilarious blunder happened where Rinku Singh was batting, and Venkatesh Iyer was at the non-striker's end.
Bowler Vaibhav Arora bowled to Rinku, and he hit the ball back to the bowler, which touched the tip of his fingers and went straight to the stumps. The funny part was that Iyer was out of the crease and was dismissed because of this blunder. The video went viral within minutes as KKR's official Twitter handle uploaded it with a caption, 'Wait for the twist'.

KKR are the defending champions of the tournament as they lifted the trophy after ten years of wait. They went all in for Venkatesh Iyer in the mega auction 2024 and bought him for INR 23.75 crores.
Who will be KKR's captain in IPL 2025?
KKR have invested a lot of money in Venkatesh Iyer ahead of the 18th season of the IPL 2025. However, they haven't announced the captain for the season yet, with the tournament just less than a month to go. It will be interesting to see who they hand over the responsibility this year since they didn't retain Shreyas Iyer.
They have quite a few options, including Venkatesh Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane. Rahane is an experienced player who can lead the team. When it comes to Iyer, he is open to taking responsibility but lacks experience. It will be a tough choice between the two for the franchise.
