India's mystery spinner, Varun Chakaravarthy, drew the first blood against New Zealand in the finals of the Champions Trophy 2025. He dismissed Will Young and gave the much-needed breakthrough. Young, along with Rachin Ravindra, have a solid start to the innings, scoring 57 runs in eight overs. The batter was LBW and didn't go for a review after talking to Ravindra.
It was an important wicket for India because Young is a dangerous batter and has the capability to rip apart the bowling attack once he settles down. The ball landed full on the middle and leg stump, and the batter went on to play the flick shot but missed the delivery, and it hit the pads. The on-field umpire gave it out without giving it a second thought.

The Men in Blue are back in the game with a brilliant bowling effort. Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Rachin Ravindra. Now, two new batters are on the crease. However, Williamson and Mitchell are the two strongest batters on the team, and if they settle down, the total score might be 350 as the pitch looks flat without the presence of grass.
Kuldeep Yadav goes wild after dismissing Rachin Ravindra
Rachin Ravindra is undoubtedly one of the best batters on the New Zealand team, and that is why dismissing him was extremely important. Kuldeep Yadav removed the batter in his very first over and celebrated wildly. He ran around for a bit and then jumped in the air. Even Virat Kohli was seen celebrating because everybody knew the importance of the wicket.
Yadav dismissed Williamson as well, which was a soft dismissal. He drove the ball directly towards the bowler, and he made the catch quite easily. India are definitely back in the game, and now a few more wickets will pull down the Kiwis' confidence as well.
