Australian opener Travis Head announced his arrival to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 in style. Sunrisers Hyderabad's star opener smashed England pacer Jofra Archer for a huge six that went for a massive 105 meters. The left-handed batter ensured his team continued to pile on the runs despite losing fellow opener Abhishek Sharma.

The incident happened on the second ball of the fifth over, which was being bowled by Jofra Archer. SRH opener got a length ball that he managed to slam straight into the deep mid-wicket region for a huge six. The fans in the stadium lost their voice as they saw Head treat to the brutal hitting in the first six overs of the game.
Riyan Parag, who is leading the Rajasthan Royals, won the toss and chose to bowl first. Sanju Samson wasn’t part of the playing XI but is set to play as an impact player for his side. By the end of the six overs, SRH had managed to score 94 runs for the loss of one wicket. Ishan Kishan, making his debut for SRH, was batting alongside Head as the time-out was taken.

Afghanistan pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi bowling the opening over saw Abhishek Sharma hit two fours as ten runs came from the over. Sri Lankan star Maheesh Theekshana began his spell with a no-ball as he conceded 14 runs from his first over, which included a four and a six from the bat of Travis Head.
Abhishek Sharma then smashed Farooqi for three fours in the first three balls of the third over. The left-handed batter, who has already scored two T20I tons for India, was in blistering form with the bat in the early part of the game. Head ended the over with yet another six as 21 runs were scored off Farooqi.
Theekshana then got the first wicket for RR when he had Abhishek Sharma caught by Yashasvi Jaiswal for 24 runs from 11 balls. Ishan Kishan opened his account with two fours as SRH reached the 50-run mark inside four overs. Archer’s first over produced 23 runs as Head hit four boundaries and a six to take his personal score to 41 off 15 balls.
