A rare thing happened in the 69th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, where Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener Travis Head was dismissed on a golden duck. After 13 innings, Head finally got out on a duck, which is a rare occurrence considering his form this season. Moreover, Punjab Kings' (PBKS) Arshdeep Singh was the reason behind this dismissal.
In the very first ball of the 2nd innings, Singh bowled the batter and sent him back to the pavilion. After that, his celebration was quite eye-catching. The entire team seemed happy after dismissing the most dangerous batter in the league.

In the first innings, PBKS scored 214 runs with the help of Prabhsimran Singh's 71 runs off 45 balls and Jitesh Sharma's sweet cameo of 32 runs off 15 balls. Sharma's efforts in the last over helped PBKS get past the 200-run mark, scoring 17 runs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad to jump to 2nd position on defeating Punjab Kings
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are currently in the 3rd position with 15 points, while Rajasthan Royals (RR) are in the 2nd position with 16 points. Even though RR still has a match to play, if SRH wins the match against PBKS, they'll move to the 2nd position, and RR will come down to the third position. Moreover, the points table doesn't matter to the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as they are sitting safely in the 1st position with 19 points under their name.
Aside from KKR and RCB, neither RR nor SRH's positions are fixed. The benefit of finishing in the top two is the extra match the teams get to play in the form of qualifier two. For instance, if a team loses in the qualifier 1, they'll get a chance to play in the qualifier 2 against the winner of the eliminator. Hence, SRH will try to win the match to jump up the table and then hope RR lose their last match.
