Star India batter Tilak Varma is in brilliant batting form against England in the ongoing second T20I of the five-match series. Varma is troubling the England bowlers at the tough track of the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Meanwhile, Varma displayed some sensational shots in the fifth over of India’s innings during the run-chase.

After hitting Jofra Archer for a four on the first ball, Tilak Varma smashed an unbelievable six on the second ball taking ground on his knees and placing it into the stands with a distance of 82m. Tilak Varma’s six was also special as it came on Archer’s delivery with the speed of 150 kmph.

Speaking of the action of the game, the hosts India won the toss and asked England to bat first; batting first, Jos Buttler’s men were restricted to the score of 165 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Skipper Jos Buttler scored 45 runs off 30 balls, with two fours and three sixes while Brydon Carse aggregated 31 runs off just 17 balls, a four and three sixes.

Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy scalped two wickets each for India in the first innings, alongside a wicket each bagged by all other bowlers except for Ravi Bishnoi.

At the time of filling this, the men in blue had scored 96 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 12.1 overs, having Tilak Varma and Washington Sundar there in the middle at the individual scores of 37 and 10 runs, respectively.

Brydon Carse has scalped 2 wickets for the tourists, alongside a wicket each bagged by Jofra Archer, Mark Wood, and Jamie Overton.
