It will be a crucial game to win for India to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match series.

Notably, Rohit Sharma’s men are currently leading the three-match ODI series by a margin of 1-0 after their 4-wicket win in the first ODI at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur. They will aim to continue their winning run with success in the next game against the tourists.
Speaking of the action of the first ODI between India and England, the visiting skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to bat first. The Three Lions were all out at the score of 248 runs in 47.4 overs. Skipper Buttler and young batter Jacob Bethell scored the crucial half-centuries, with 52 and 51 runs, respectively, alongside 43 runs off just 26 balls scored by star opener and wicketkeeper-batter, Phil Salt.
Star India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and young debutant Harshit Rana scalped 3 wickets each. Besides these two, Mohammed Shami, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav also bagged a wicket each.
While chasing the target, the hosts comfortably crossed the line in 38.4 overs, scoring 251 runs for the loss of 6 wickets and won the game by 4 wickets to get 1-0 lead.
