Suryakumar Yadav is having the time of his life after taking the catch in the T20 World Cup 2024 and helping India get the trophy after years of wait and hard work. After Rohit Sharma's retirement, even though Hardik Pandya was in contention for captaincy, the selectors trusted Suryakumar Yadav with the responsibility of the team, and he hasn't failed them yet. SKY has maintained his winning streaks in the T20Is.

Starting with Sri Lanka, then Bangladesh, and now South Africa, India have won all three series under SKY. This speaks volumes about the player and his team-handling abilities. Moreover, he is a down-to-earth person who loves interacting with people. While landing in Mumbai from South Africa, SKY was seen clicking pictures with the pilot who had requested him to wait after the flight. The player made sure that he waited for the captain to come out and take a selfie with him.

India went to South Africa to play a 4-match T20I series, where they beat the hosts and got the trophy home. This is the third win of the year for India, and they did it quite efficiently. Going to a foreign land and winning a trophy will always remain special for the players.

They were sitting and enjoying the show since the first day: Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav praised the stand-in coach, VVS Laxman, and his team for their brilliant participation in the series. SKY gave them credit for getting involved with the boys and advising them on the toss. VVS has been an incredible coach in the past as well and hence, BCCI prefers him to travel with the young lads to groom them properly.

"They were sitting and enjoying the show since the first day, they spoke to the boys and said whatever you want, you do, we will sit and enjoy. Even today, they said if you want to bat first and put runs on the board, do it," he added.
