Sunil Gavaskar came up with a unique way of pronouncing the bowler’s name. The manner in which the 75-year-old pronounced the name left his fellow commentators in splits. Even the fans couldn’t stop laughing and shared the short clip on social media and it has now become a raging viral hit.

Scott Boland is playing in his second game of the series after replacing Josh Hazlewood. The veteran pacer has a good record at the MCG and once took 6 wickets for just 7 runs during the Ashes 2021 game against England. In the first innings of the ongoing game, Boland got three wickets which included the scalp of Virat Kohli for 36.

Sunil Gavaskar thanks Nitish Reddy and his parents

After his first innings century, Nitish Reddy has become the biggest talking point in cricketing circles. Emotional scenes were witnessed after the play ended as Nitish’s parents met the former Indian great and touched his feet. The 75-year-old could be seen overwhelmed with emotion at such a display.

During his interaction with Nitish’s parents, Mr Gavaskar could be heard saying “Mujhe maloom hai aap logo kitna sacrifice kiya hai. Aapki wajah se mere aankhon mey aansu aa rahe they. Aapke wajah se Bharat ko ye heera mila hai”

The cricketer’s sister said to Mr. Gavaskar “She never imagined that she will be in this place with these legends. She is unable to express her feelings. She is unable to believe even now that my brother is playing at such a big ground and has played such a big inning.”

When asked by the legendary player if Nitish had troubled her, the young lady replied “Of Course sir! Brother-sister bond is like that. It has always been a Tom and Jerry kind of bond. We love each other. We don’t usually show it much but we do love each other. I am a very very proud sister. He always used to say that I will make you all proud one day and yesterday was that day.”
