Australia's stellar batter, Steve Smith, scored a magnificent ton in the game against Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League (BBL) 2024. He scored an unbeaten 121 runs off 64 balls, including ten boundaries and seven sixes. He was just brilliant with the bat, showing boundaries throughout the innings. Smith played some brilliant shots as well, showing the world why he's called one of the best batters in the world.
Amidst the hitting, Smith did something that stole the show. In the fifth ball of the sixth over, Andrew Tye bowled a wide ball, outside leg stump area. However, Smith judged the ball late and tried to hit it, but as it went down the leg side, he had to leave it. The 'leave' was extremely hilarious.

It was a pretty good total: Steve Smith
Steve Smith received the POTM for his astounding performance in the game against Perh Scorchers. He spoke about the match and how they were terrified when Ashton Turner was batting. Smith went on to praise Henriques for his terrific bowling in the last over.
"It was good fun. At the start, I was all over the place and then something clicked and I started to middle a lot more. It was a pretty good total but it was a good game of cricket. We had a little bit of a scare there. AT (Turner) played really nicely, had good partnerships with few of their lads. Got a little bit closer than we would have liked, but Moises kept his cool in the last over and got us home," said Steve Smith at the post-match presentation.
