In the 1st ODI game between Sri Lanka and India, Janith Liyanage was given not-out by the on-field umpire in the 34th over. Liyanage played the ball to Rohit Sharma who was patiently waiting in the slips for such an opportunity. However, the batter started walking towards the pavilion, which shocked both teams. Liyanage felt the ball touched his bat and went to the fielder.

It was discovered later through the Snickometer that there was no edge on the bat. Liyanage's decision cost Sri Lanka a wicket as he was playing brilliantly. He was building a perfect partnership with Dunith Wellalage. He scored 20 runs off 26 balls, including one boundary and one six.

Sri Lanka fought hard to save the game and scored 230 runs at the loss of eight wickets. Thanks to Pathum Nissanka and Wellalage, who batted sensibly throughout the entire match. Nissanka gave a good start to the innings, while Wellalage batted well towards the end. It's time for Indian batters to show their strength and clinch victory in the game.

We can give a good fight: Dunith Wellalage

After scoring a brilliant 67 runs off 65 balls, Dunith Wellalage was seen as confident in the bowlers. He even said that they can put up a good fight against Indian batters who are in terrific form. Moreover, the pitch wasn't easy to bat on, and many challenges will come in India's way. If the Sri Lankan bowlers manage to remove the top order early, they'll have a fair chance of winning the game.

"They (India) have a good batting line-up but 231 is a good score. We have No. 1 bowler - Wanindu Hasaranga - and good fast bowlers. We can give a good fight. Not easy to bat on. With good bowling partnerships and dot balls, it's not easy to bat here," said Dunith Wellalage after the first innings.
