WATCH: Shubman Gill plays with Ishant Sharma’s daughter, heartfelt video goes viral

In what seems to be a pleasant and heartwarming moment for the cricket fans, Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill was spotted playing with the veteran pacer Ishant Sharma’s daughter at the airport. Gill started playing with Ishant’s daughter when she was in her father’s lap at the airport, when the team was about to take their flight.

The video of this heartfelt moment involving Shubman Gill and Isbant Sharma's little daughter immediately went viral on social media as soon as it was shared on Instagram.

Gujarat Titans beat KKR to strengthen the top spot

Speaking of the recent performance of the Gujarat Titans in the ongoing IPL 2025, they recently took on the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), in the 39th game of the tournament. The game was played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Monday, April 21. The hosts’ skipper, Ajinkya Rahane, won the toss and asked GT to bat first. 

Batting first, the visitors got an outstanding opening start of 114 runs in just 12.2 overs by the opening pair of star in-form batter Sai Sudharsan and skipper Shubman Gill. Sudharsan scored 52 runs off just 36 balls, with six fours and a six, followed by Gill’s 90 runs off just 55 balls, with 10 fours and three sixes. Wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler also contributed with 41 runs off just 23 balls, with eight fours to help GT post 198 runs for the loss of just 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

While defending the target in the second innings, the GT bowlers restricted the KKR batters to a score of just 159 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the entire 20 overs and won the game by a big margin of 39 runs. Purple cap holder Prasidh Krishna and star spinner Rashid Khan scalped 2 wickets each at just 25 runs each in their respective four overs.

Besides these two, Mohammed Siraj, Ishant Sharma, Washington Sundar, and Sai Kishore also claimed a wicket each.
