Virat Kohli fails to flatter on his final appearance at the MCG

It was a disappointing day for the massive Indian cricket fans that had come to watch Virat Kohli bat at the MCG. This is the final time the former India skipper is touring Australia as the next tour is scheduled to take place in 2029. Kohli came out to bat after the wicket of KL Rahul who was out for a duck.

Each and every run was cheered by the fans as Kohli scored 5 runs and faced 28 balls. In the final over before lunch, Kohli yet again played a loose shot outside his off-stump. Usman Khawaja made no mistake in taking the catch to give Starc his maiden wicket of the game.

Yet again in this series, Kohli has fallen to a ball pitched on the fourth and fifth stump line. Each of his previous dismissals in the current series have been either caught in the slips or by the wicketkeeper. With Rohit Sharma also failing to score, massive questions will be asked about the veteran duo’s place in the side.
