South Africa were set a massive total of 203 runs to chase to win the opening game of the 4-match series against India in Durban on Friday. Opening batter Ryan Rickelton served a timely reminder to all the teams in the IPL Auctions with a huge six off Avesh Khan.
The incident took place in the final ball of the fourth over. Avesh Khan bowled a short ball to Rickelton. The batter rocked onto his back foot and effortlessly pulled the ball over the boundary for huge six. What made the shot even more special was that it went out of the ground and fell on the road.

Rickelton could only score 21 runs with the bat as he was out to Varun Chakravarthy in the sixth over. South Africa’s decision to bowl first after winning the toss backfired as India posted 2-2/8 from their 20 overs.
Defending T20 World Cup winners conjure up massive score
Sanju Samson scored a terrific ton to create history on Friday. The 29-year-old scored 107 runs from just 50 balls. Samson’s knock contained 7 crisp boundaries with 10 huge sixes. This was his second T20I century and that too in successive matches. This made Samson the first Indian batter to achieve such a feat.
None of the South African bowlers had any reply to the assault by India’s wicketkeeper batter. By the time he was out to Nqabayomzi Peter the visitors had already put themselves in a strong position. Tilak Varam scored 33 runs from 18 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes to show the world why he was retained by Mumbai Indians.
Fast bowler Gerald Coetzee was the pick of the bowlers for the home team. The 24-year-old bowled four overs and picked 3/37, which included the wickets of Abhishek Sharma. Hardik Pandya, and Rinku Singh.
Patrick Kruger and Peter bowled 5 overs between them and conceded 70 runs and picked just 2 wickets. Keshav Maharaj and Marco Jansen were the other wicket-takers for their side.
Skipper Suryakumar Yadav will be worried with the form of Abhishek Sharma who scored just 7 runs. The left-handed batter hasn’t been able to score runs ever since his century during the 2nd T20I against Zimbabwe.
