Rajasthan Royals (RR) head coach Rahul Dravid is an example of hard work and discipline. The former player suffered a knee injury on March 12 while playing in Bengaluru. Despite having a cast on his leg, Dravid joined the RR team during their practice sessions ahead of the 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on a wheelchair. The head coach also played Holi with the players from a distance.

The IPL is set to start on March 22, but RR will play their first game on March 23, against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The video of Dravid was shared on social media, and it went viral within minutes as people loved him for being present on the ground with the players.

Sanju Samson is ready to captain the RR team for the upcoming IPL 2025. The team has promising players this time and if everything goes well for them, they can qualify for the playoffs. RR have won only one title so far, which they won in the first season of the tournament. 

Rahul Dravid opens up on being head coach of RR

After winning the T20 World Cup 2024, Rahul Dravid joined the Rajasthan Royals as their head coach. He had a successful outing with the Indian team and now will focus more on the IPL. Earlier, Dravid was part of the team as their head coach. Now he returned again for the upcoming season. 

"A lot of hard work and deliberation from Manoj, Jake, Kumar and the team has gone into the progression that the franchise has made over the past few years. It's an exciting opportunity for us to take this team to the next level given the kind of talent and resources we have at our disposal and I'm looking forward to getting started," said Rahul Dravid.
