Wankhede saw most prominent cricket matches in India
Wankhede is notable for having attended some of the most prominent cricket matches in India. In the 2011 ODI World Cup Final, India defeated Sri Lanka, ending a 28-year curse at this location. In front of the entire nation, we recently watched the Indian team celebrate their triumph in the T20 World Cup 2024 at this stadium. Hence, the residents of Wankhede will gather here to commemorate India's triumph in the CT 2025.
Notably, India held a bus parade on the roof of a building along Mumbai's Marine Drive to commemorate their victory in the T20 World Cup last year. At the Wankhede Stadium, a magnificent felicitation celebration marked the parade's conclusion. Their passionate celebration won the hearts of the Indian Cricket Team.
