India's star batter Rohit Sharma is always in the limelight because of his forgetful nature. This time, he was spotted at the airport, searching for something at the security check-in, surrounded by security personnel. After his teammate Tilak Varma went in, Rohit was looking inside his pant pockets as seen in the video. This made the people surrounding him burst into laughter as they allowed him to go inside.

It seemed like the ODI captain forgot his phone or tickets while entering the airport. The video went viral on social media as people love to see this version of Rohit Sharma, making everyone laugh around him. As the IPL 2025 was suspended for a week due to the political differences between India and Pakistan, the players were returning to their respective homes. Now that the issue has some kind of sorted out, the Board is likely to start the tournament soon with just three neutral venues, for the safety of the players.

Recently, skipper Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from Test cricket with immediate effect. Ahead of the upcoming England series, reports suggested that the selectors were looking for a younger captain and asked him to step down from the position. The selectors now have to look for a captain, a vice-captain, and an opener to play alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal in the upcoming Test series.

Rohit Sharma's IPL performance so far

The former Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma didn't have a dream start in the IPL, as one could have expected. However, he smashed a stunning half-century against CSK in their second match and didn't stop after that. In the next game too, he hit a brilliant half-century. He has amassed 300 runs from 11 innings at an average of 30. Moreover, his strike rate of 152.28 is even more amazing.

Now that the tournament will be back in action soon, MI would want Rohit to maintain his form, as that will help them qualify for the playoffs. The Mumbai-based franchise is on 14 points and need to win the rest of their two matches to reach the knockouts.
