India's captain Rohit Sharma is a fun character in the team who likes to keep the atmosphere light-hearted most of time. During the 2nd Test match against Bangladesh, Rohit was seen bashing the cameraman for showing him instead of the batters who were on the ground. He was having a conversation with wicketkeeper- batter Rishabh Pant who was sitting on his left-side while head coach Gautam Gambhir was on his right.
Gambhir and Pant bursted into laughter when Rohit through his gestures told the cameraman to show the batters and not him when the focus came onto the captain. The video went viral on Instagram as people love to see the cheeky side of Rohit in between games. He and Virat Kohli have turned into seniors who also entertain the crowd whenever possible.
Against Bangladesh, India whitewashed the series, 2-0. The visitors had a disappointing series in terms of batting and bowling as India won the game by seven wickets. After the game was called off on two consecutive days, there was no hopes of having a result. However, the aggressive gameplay by the Indian team helped them get a result.
All depended on how many runs they get: Rohit Sharma
After the winning the game against Bangladesh, Rohit Sharma opened up about the strategies of the team once the game was called off for two days. India did the unexpected by bowling out Bangladesh and showing an aggressive batting performance. The Men in Blue broke a number of records in Test cricket which was their achievement along with the series victory.
"All depended on how many runs they get. When they got bowled out for 230, it wasn't about the runs we get but the overs we wanted to bowl at them. Which meant we had to try and up the run rate and score as many as possible. Pitch didn't have much for the bowlers. To make a game out of it on that pitch was a superb effort from the bowlers," said Rohit Sharma.
