In the ongoing Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2024, skipper Rishabh Pant of the Purani Dilli 6 rolled his arms in the last over of the game. South Delhi Superstarz needed one run to win when Pant came in to bowl. He tried his hands on spin bowling, which was perceived well by the fans. Moreover, they also linked it with the India team's head coach and his approach towards making everyone bat and bowl at the same time.
This was the first time Pant bowled in a match, as he hadn't tried bowling ever, even in an international game. He's one of the best keepers in India and has safe hands.

It was the first game in the DPL's inaugural season, and the match was quite exciting. While Pant was the captain of Purani Dilli 6, Ayush Badoni was the captain of South Delhi Superstarz. The Superstarz won the game by three wickets thanks to skipper Badoni's 57 runs off 29 balls, including one boundary and five sixes.
I am a little surprised: Aakash Chopra
Former India batter Aakash Chopra has straightaway questioned the selection committee as they didn't make Rishabh Pant the skipper of Team B in the Duleep Trophy 2024. He'll play under Abhimanyu Easwaran's captaincy, which isn't wrong, but Pant could have gotten a chance to prove his worth in the domestic matches.
"Rishabh Pant is not a captain. He has been selected for Abhimanyu Easwaran's team. He is playing under Abhimanyu Easwaran's captaincy, which is absolutely okay. However, is Rishabh Pant not even a candidate for Test captaincy? I am a little surprised," said Aakash Chopra on his YouTube channel.
