After his bid, former India player Suresh Raina took to social media to welcome him in a special manner. LSG went all in for Pant, grabbing him for a massive amount which was unbelievable. Now, Pant will be in contention for captaincy position ahead of the IPL 2025.

The love for the player is unmatchable across nations and formats. Pant will now play for LSG and have a high chance of captaining the side. He went past Shreyas Iyer to become the costliest player in the tournament's history.
KL Rahul sold for INR 14 crores to Delhi Capitals
Delhi Capitals made a steal deal with KL Rahul who was brought at INR 14 crores. While players like Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant got a whopping amount of INR 26.75 and INR 27 crores, Rahul went in a much lower price. The player will play for a new franchise in the 18th season of the IPL.
This blunder happened because the franchises went all in for Pant and Iyer, which reduced the purse price. CSK wanted to buy Rahul but failed because they had a limited amount of INR 55 crores. Rahul has captaincy experience which adds him to the captaincy candidate category for Delhi Capitals.
