In the ongoing ILT20 2025, while playing for the Desert Vipers, star Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir showcased his bowling prowess by dismissing Johnson Charles of the Sharjah Warriors. The crucial moment came on the last ball of the third over when Amir outplayed Charles and claimed his wicket.
Amir delivered a short-of-length ball that angled away, tempting Charles to attempt a pull shot. However, he mistimed it completely, resulting in a costly mistake. Wicketkeeper Azam Khan safely took the catch, sealing the dismissal.
It was a significant breakthrough, as Charles had been batting on 16 runs off 10 balls, including one boundary and two sixes. Earlier in the same over, Charles smashed Amir for 10 runs, which likely fueled the pacer’s fiery reaction as he aggressively celebrated the wicket.

The pitch was playing really well: Alex Hales
Alex Hales won the Player of the Match award for his brilliant batting performance. He spoke about how it felt and how the pitch reacted throughout the game. He also mentioned that they have a good chance of winning in the finals.
"Feels good, the pitch was playing really well and glad to time that chase well. It was holding a bit in the first 3-4 overs when we bowled, so we knew we had to adjust when we came out to bat. I kept it quite simple, very happy with how I played square and keeping it still, watch the ball till the last moment. (On chances in the final) We have a very strong batting line-up, so if we can use our change ups well, we have a good chance. Hopefully, this time we can hold onto our catches better," said Alex Hales.
