The ongoing Champions Trophy 2025 game between Afghanistan and England is already seeing things getting interesting and heating up. A similar instance happened in the second innings during England’s run chase of a big target of 326 runs posted by Afghanistan. The moment that caught the attention came in the 17th over of the England innings.
It all happened when star Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan went into an ecstatic celebration with a roar after dismissing star in-form England opener Ben Duckett. It was on the fourth ball of the 17th over when Rashid trapped Duckett in an LBW in front of the wickets. The umpire initially denied the appeal from Rashid Khan and other Afghanistan players.
Furthermore, Rashid convinced skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi to take DRS, which later went in favour of Afghanistan and Duckett was given out as the umpire had to reverse the decision. Subsequently, the cheery and ecstatic celebration of Rashid Khan attracted the eyeballs.
The video of the star Afghanistan spinner’s celebration also went viral on social as soon as it was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter).
