Radha Yadav stole the show for her splendid catch to dismiss Brooke Halliday. The incident occurred in the third ball of the 32nd over. Debutant Priya Mishra, enticed Brooke Halliday with a floated delivery which the batter tried to hit out of the park.Β

Brooke Halliday couldnβt time the ball well as Radha Yadav started running and made good ground. The Indian star then came up with a full length dive to take the catch to leave the crowd stunned. It was a key wicket as the Kiwis wewre starting to assert their dominance over India with the bat.Β

Sophie Devine won the toss for New Zealand and chose to bat first. Openers Suzie Bates and Georgia Plimmer took the attack to the Indian bowlers. The pair batted well in the first ten overs with boundaries coming at ease. Deepti Sharma then got India their first wicket when she dismissed Plimmer for 41 runs.Β
The Kiwi opener played an aggressive innings as her knock came off 50 balls with 6 fours and a six. Priya Mishra made her first impact when she ran out Kiwi batter Lauren Down for 3 runs off 19 balls.Β
Radha Yadav against the run of play got the key wicket of Suzie Bates. The Kiwi opener was out for 58 runs as her knock came off 70 balls with 8 fours. Maddy Green came out attacking instincts as she scored a 41-ball 42 before being dismissed by Radha Yadav.Β
At the time of writing, New Zealand were placed at 236/5 from 47 overs. Skipper Sophie Devine was batting on 72 having faced 83 balls with 7 hits to the fence.
