Emotions ran high during the third and final Tri-Series game between Pakistan and South Africa on Wednesday. Temba Bavuma and Matthew Breetzke frustrated the hosts with a century plus stand. The first moment of flare-up happened when Matthew Breetzke ran into pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi while trying to complete a single.
The two players were seen involved in having a chat with each other in the final ball of the 28th over. Umpires had to play the peacemakers before Mohammad Rizwan and Bavuma could be seen having a fair exchange of words. South Africa lost their skipper in the fifth ball of the 29th over for 82 thanks to a run-out.

Bavuma placed the ball to point and set for a quick single but was sent back by his partner. Saud Shakeel picked up the ball, threw it at the stumps and ran out the South African skipper. Just as Bavuma was walking off the wicket, Kushdil Shah ran in and started fist pumping in front of the batter.
Even Saud Shakeel was seen celebrating aggressively before Rizwan took him away. Bavuma didn’t seem to enjoy the over-the-top celebrations from the hosts. Both the on-field umpires got together once more and tried to calm down the situation.
South Africa get strong start in must-win game
New Zealand have already made it to the finals of the Tri-Series after winning both their matches. The winner in the game between Pakistan and New Zealand will go to the finals to take on Mitchell Santner’s side. It was Temba Bavuma who won the toss and chose to bat first.
Shaheen Afridi gave the hosts a great start with the wicket of Tony De Zorzi in the final ball of the eighth over. Zorzi got a thick edge, which flew to Salman Agha, who completed an easy catch. The left-handed batter was out after scoring 22 runs off 18 balls with three fours and a six.
The second wicket stand between Bavuma and Breetzke was worth 119, which came off 125 balls. Bavuma got his 82 off 96 balls with 13 hits to the fence, with Breetzke going past his half-century. The young batter had scored 150 in the first match to set the record for the highest individual score by a debutant in ODI cricket.
