India found a new cricketing hero in Nitish Reddy after his splendid century during the third day of the MCG Test match. What made the moment more special was when the cameras caught the youngster's father in tears. After the young batter reached his ton the proud parent was seen being congratulated by the fans who were with him.
Nitish’s parents met former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar and the cricketer’s father went down and touched Gavaskar’s leg. The veteran Indian legend seemed visibly moved as he blessed Reddy’s father. Gavaskar then gave the proud parent a warm hug and folded his hands and was seen spending quality time with the family.
