India's newcomer Nitish Kumar Reddy visited the Tirupati Temple in Andra Pradesh, where his family members accompanied him. His devotion level was at its peak when he went to the temple by climbing the stairs on his knees. The player posted pictures on social media, which went viral, with people praising him for staying connected to his roots even after getting success.

Reddy's performance in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia was fantastic as he also scored his maiden century in the fourth game. The SRH star all-rounder finally got the opportunity to play for the country and make everyone proud with his performance. It was Reddy's short cameos that helped India get much-needed runs from the lower middle-order batters.
However, the all-rounder didn't get much time to bowl in the game, considering the nature of the pitch. However, he did take a few wickets towards the end of the series. Reddy got his Test cap from his favourite player, Virat Kohli, which was a heartwarming moment for the player. With the Champions Trophy around the corner, BCCI might give him a chance in the longer white ball format as well.
It's completely wrong statement: Rajeev Shukla
Meanwhile, BCCI's vice president, Rajeev Shukla, slammed all the reports that said that there's a rift between the head coach Gautam Gambhir, captain Rohit Sharma, and the selectors. He clarified in the media, saying that everything is fine between the Indian team and the management, and all the other reports saying otherwise are rubbish.
'It is a completely wrong statement; there is no rift between chairman of selection (Ajit Agarkar) and coach; there is no rift between captain and coach. This is all rubbish which is being spread in a section of the media," said Shukla.
