New Zealand's condition in the ongoing 2nd Test Match against Sri Lanka isn't looking as good as it was expected from the Kiwis. The Lankan Lions have improved their game a lot and have become extremely confident as they dismissed the New Zealand team for just 88 runs. After that, they imposed a follow-on and the visitors had to come and bat again. It was a great sight to watch nations like Sri Lanka to rise up to the occasion and make the most out of it.

In the 2nd Test match, New Zealand's Rachin Ravindra was absolutely clueless in front of Nishan Peiris' bowling. Ravindra became Peiris' maiden wicket as the ball drifted into leg-stump, missed, and found a way to hit leg-stump. The batter didn't expect such a ball from the player and looked stunned after the dismissal. The video went viral on social media as the viewers enjoyed seeing the delivery of the new comer.

New Zealand still trails by 315 runs, and if they get all out, then they will lose the match by innings, which will be a huge embarrassment for them and the entire team. The batters will have to try to build a partnership that will be helpful in putting up a good score on the board.

Kamindu Mendis slams century against New Zealand

In the first innings against New Zealand, Kamindu Mendis scored an unbeaten 182 runs off 250 balls including 16 boundaries and four sixes. He went after the bowling attack and tried hitting the loose balls. He did pay respect to the good balls, but the loose ones went for a boundary. He played with a lot of confidence, helping Sri Lanka post 602 runs.

Apart from him, Dinesh Chandimal (116) and Kushal Mendis (106) scored centuries in the same innings. Chandimal hit 16 boundaries while Mendis hit six boundaries and three sixes. The cricket fraternity enjoyed watching the Sri Lankan batters taking center stage after a really long time.
