The Manchester Originals lost one more game in The Hundred Mens Competition 2024. This time, their defeat was against Northern Superchargers, who had won the game by seven wickets. Nicholas Pooran came down at No. 5 and smashed the bowling attack. He scored 66 runs off 33 balls, including two boundaries and eight sixes.
Out of those eight, there was one six, which went for 113 meters. It was a monstrous stroke that left the bowler and the crowd shocked. Harry Brook supported him from the other end, scoring 43 runs off 26 balls. Both the batters smashed the bowling line-up, lowering the bowlers' confidence by the end of the game.

Superchargers won the game by seven wickets. After Ben Stokes retired hurt, the middle-order batters took the responsibility and helped the team get past the victory line. They were chasing a score of 153 runs, which was a tough job, but somehow managed to pull off the difficult task.

Nicholas Pooran's 113-meter six will live rent-free in the minds of the audience who witnessed it live in the stadium. He looked very happy while he was talking about his performance and hoped they'd get the same results again. They are in the third position on the points table and will be looking forward to winning the upcoming games.
"It was one of my better innings, it's a new format, but happy that I could contribute. [on the 113m six] I was surprised, that ball went up so high. I am happy that I could get the win, hopefully, we can get this result again. You got to peak at the right time, hope we are getting there at the right time," said Nicholas Pooran during the post-match presentation.
