Meanwhile, the West Indian star was singing the 'Channa Mereya' song ahead of his departure from India. The song is from a famous Hindi movie featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, the wife of Virat Kohli. LSG ended their season with the game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and lost by six wickets. Anushka was present in the stands to watch Kohli score a match-winning fifty as Jitesh Sharma’s 85 not out saw his team through.

LSG skipper Rishabh Pant’s century went in vain as RCB coasted to an easy win with nine balls to spare. Virat Kohli and RCB will be in action on Friday night at the Mullanpur Stadium as they take on Punjab Kings in the first playoff match. Punjab finished first in the table while RCB ended their group phase in second.

R. Ashwin slams Rishabh Pant for not backing Digvesh Rathi

Former India spinner R. Ashwin has broken his silence on Digvesh Rathi’s controversial attempted Mankad dismissal of Jitesh Sharma. LSG skipper Rishabh Pant later withdrew the appeal, and this didn’t please CSK’s veteran star. Ashwin himself had done the Mankad dismissal on Jos Buttler that had divided the cricket world.

Speaking on his podcast, Ashwin said, “I don’t know Digvesh Rathi personally — he is neither a friend nor a relative. But I am saying… You will scar a bowler so much that it will really affect him. Because nobody cares about a bowler, so in front of crores of people, should we withdraw his appeal and insult him?

Ashwin also added, “Now, till now, everything is fine. Bowler has hit, appealed, not out. It's just another day in the office. But what happened? After this, during the match, the commentators said, 'Rishabh Pant has withdrawn the appeal,' Look, a captain's job is actually to back a player. Alright? A captain's job is to not make a bowler feel small”

“Picture Digvesh Rathi as your own child. If his captain publicly criticises his decision in front of millions, it’s humiliating, We don't know if Rishabh Pant already spoke to LSG's team or not. But let's stop this vilification of that youngster in front of crores and crores of people” Ashwin ended by saying.
