Lucknow Super Giants scored an imposing 181/5 from their 20 overs during the IPL 2024 game against RCB on Tuesday. The star with the bat for the visiting was South African veteran star Quinton De Kock who scored 81 runs.

Nicholas Pooran stole the show towards the backend of the innings with 40 not out off 21 balls. The West Indian star hit five sixes and a four during a whirlwind knock to stun the RCB side.

Watch the video below:

In the fourth ball of the 19th over, Nicholas Pooran was facing Reece Topley. The bowler was already smashed for two sixes earlier in the over. It was soon three sixes in a row as Pooran saw the short ball and pulled it over the mid-wicket fence for a six. The ball hit the roof and went for a huge 106-meter six.

Quinton De Kock leads the charge with the bat

RCB skipper Faf Du Plessis won the toss and chose to bowl first. Yash Thakur came in for Mohsin Khan, as Alzarri Joseph made way for Reece Topley. KL Rahul and Quinton De Kock were the openers for LSG and the two batters started well during the 15th game of IPL 2024 on Tuesday.

Quinton De Kock in particular was severe on anything short or wide as he lashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground. The fifty-run stand came in the sixth over before Glenn Maxwell got KL Rahul out for 20.

Mohammed Siraj then got the wicket of Devdutt Padikkal who struggled before falling for 6 runs. This got Marcus Stoinis to the wicket as he helped LSG come out of trouble with a crucial 56-run stand with Quinton De Kock.

It seemed like Quinton De Kock was set for a century but he was out for 81 runs. Reece Topley got his wicket when Mayank Dagar held onto a simple catch. Sensing the team fall behind the 8-ball, Pooran brought out the big hits to take his team to 181.

RCB have a mountain to climb if they have to win the game after their huge loss to KKR in the last match. The form of Virat Kohli will be crucial as he has been one of the best batters during the ongoing IPL 2024.
