New Zealand Cricket Board came up with a unique way of announcing the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 squad. They brought in two young Superfans who had two packs of cards with the players' names in them. They started reading out the players' names and described their attributes. The 15-member squad looked extremely strong, with Sophie Devine leading the attack. She is set to play her ninth World Cup, which is a huge achievement.

Additionally, Suzie Bates, who will be playing her ninth WC, is also on the team. The duo has featured in all the editions of the T20 World Cup, making it a remarkable journey. The spin attack looks solid with players like Leigh Kasperek, Melanie Kerr, Fran Jonas, and Eden Carson. Wicket-keeper Izzy Gaze is set to make her World Cup debut.

Congratulations to all of the players named in this squad: White Ferns head coach Ben Sawyer

Ben Sawyer, the Head Coach of White Ferns, has congratulated the New Zealand players on their selection. The 15-member squad has an equal distribution of senior and junior players, which will be a learning experience for them. The T20 World Cup 2024 will start on October 3 and will be held in the UAE. It was supposed to be held in Bangladesh, but the venues have been changed due to political unrest.

"Congratulations to all of the players named in this squad, it’s a significant achievement to be selected to represent your country at a World Cup. I’m really pleased with this squad, I think these are our best 15 players to adapt to what will likely be varied conditions," said Sawyer in a media release.
