The young Nepal batter Dipendra Singh Airee created history as he smashed 6 sixes in an over against Qatar in the ongoing ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2024 in Oman. With this feat, he has also joined the elite list of Herschelle Gibbs, Yuvraj Singh and Kieron Pollard to register the record of six sixes in an over in international cricket.

Herschelle Gibbs achieved the feat in the ODI World Cup 2007 against the Netherlands. Later, Yuvraj Singh created history in the T20 World Cup 2007 against England’s Stuart Broad. Furthermore, Kieron Pollard achieved this sensational feat against Sri Lanka.

Coming back to Dipendra Singh Airee, he smashed Qatar pacer Kamran Khan in all corners of the ground in the 20th over of the first innings. The video of this historic moment is also making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter).

Speaking of the action of the 7th match of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup between Nepal and Qatar, Nepal posted a big total of 210 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Opener Aasif Sheikh scored 52 runs off 41 balls, with 6 fours.

Besides him, the star of the day for Nepal, Dipendra Singh Airee smashed 64 runs off just 21 balls, with 3 fours and 7 fours.

Himanshu Rathod and Musawar Shah scalped 3 wickets each for Qatar, alongside one wicket bagged by Amir Farooq.

While chasing the target, Qatar skipper Muhammad Tanveer scored 63 runs off just 33 balls, with 6 fours and 4 sixes. Besides him, Mohammad Ahnaff and Himanshu Rathod also scored 223 and 22 runs, respectively for their side.

Eventually, Qatar could score only 178 runs for the loss of 9 wickets and lost the match by a margin of 32 runs. Dipendra Singh Airee won the ‘Player of the Match award for his match-defining knock.
