Notably, Team India under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma has been through a tough run of form in Test cricket, losing two Test assignments against New Zealand at home and Australia in Australia. Rohit’s men lost to New Zealand by 0-3. Later, they lost to the Aussies in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by 1-3.

With these losses, India have also been eliminated from the race to the World Test Championship 2025 final.

Meanwhile, controversies are also surrounding Team India after the alleged leaking of the dressing room conversations. In the same line of events, former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has also expressed his concerns over the same.

“Whatever has happened in the last few days, be it in Australia or after that...there are wins and losses on the field. But every day new stories should not come out of the dressing room. Today there was a report that coach Saab (Gautam Gambhir) has said Sarfaraz Khan has leaked dressing room talks to the media. If the coach had said this, he should not have done so. If Sarfaraz Khan had done this in Australia, you are the coach, you could have talked to him then. He is a player, make him understand. He is a youngster, he will play for India in the future,” said Harbhajan.

“Being a senior player, we have to give wisdom to youngsters. If he (Gambhir) has said this, that Sarfaraz has leaked the news, and if the player has indeed done so, then it's wrong. Dressing room talks should not come out in the open,” he added later.
