The fans at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai witnessed another ‘MS Dhoni stumping heroic’ off Noor Ahmad’s delivery. This time, it was Phil Salt on the receiving end of this ‘faster than the speed of light’ stumping from the former CSK skipper and the legendary wicketkeeper in the ongoing CSK vs RCB clash.
The moment came on the last ball of the fifth over in the RCB innings when Noor Ahmad bowled a length delivery that angled away outside the off stump. The man in form, Phil Salt, happened to miss the on-the-up cover drive on this delivery as he found himself trapped in Noor’s spin web. Subsequently, Dhoni made no mistake in taking the bails off with his quick stumping.
The video of this amazing and heroic stumping from MS Dhoni also started making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter).

Speaking of the action of the game, the hosts CSK won the toss and asked RCB to bat first; batting first, the visitors have scored 79 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 8.3 overs at the time of filling this. Former skipper Virat Kohli and skipper Rajat Patidar are there in the middle at the individual scores of 13 and 2 runs, respectively.
The veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and his young mate Noor Ahmed have scalped a wicket each so far for CSK in this game.
Notably, both RCB and CSK are coming off a win in their respective campaign openers against KKR and MI, respectively. RCB defeated the defending champions KKR by 7 wickets in the tournament opener while CSK won by 4 wickets against the five-time champions, MI in their campaign opener.
