CSK skipper and legendary wicketkeeper-batter MS Dhoni showcased his amazing finishing skills to help his side go over the line against LSG to win the game by 5 wickets. The game was played at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Tuesday, April 14. Dhoni played a blistering unbeaten cameo of 26 runs off just 11 balls, with 11 fours and a six.

Besides that, what caught the attention was Dhoni’s one-handed six off LSG pacer Shardul Thakur on the last ball of the 17th over in the second innings. The moment came when Thakur bowled a slower one, but it happened to dip in Dhoni’s swinging arc, and the latter didn’t make any mistake in smashing it for a six towards the square leg boundary.

Speaking of the action of the game between LSG and CSK, the visiting skipper, MS Dhoni, won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, the hosts posted 166 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs owing to skipper Rishabh Pant’s 63 runs off 49 balls, with 4 fours and four sixes. Besides him, Mitchell Marsh also contributed with 30 runs off 25 balls, with two fours and two sixes.

Later, Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad scored 222 and 20 runs, respectively, to help LSG surpass its 150+ total. Matheesha Pathirana and Ravindra Jadeja scalped 2 wickets each for CSK in the first innings, alongside a wicket each picked by Khaleel Ahmed and Anshul Kamboj.

While chasing the target, CSK got a strong start of 52 runs by the opening pair of Shaik Rasheed and Rachin Ravindra. Rasheed scored 27 runs off 19 balls, with six fours, followed by Rachin’s 37 runs off 22 balls, with five fours. Later in the run-chase, Shivam Dube played an unbeaten match-winning knock of 43 runs off 37 balls, with three fours and two sixes
