Mohammed Siraj, India's only pacer in the 3rd ODI, verbally fought with Sri Lanka's Kusal Mendis while bowling to him. During the 38th over, both players looked at each other and exchanged words due to the heated moment. While Mendis didn't look much interested in the fight and asked Siraj to move on, the bowler ignored him and abused him for giving him looks.

The matter didn't escalate more as Siraj went on to bowl the next ball. But the frustration came in as Sri Lanka batters thrashed him for 65 runs in eight overs. Being the only pace bowler in the team, Siraj was given the chance to dismantle the Sri Lankan batting attack since he had a good record against them.

However, this series didn't go in his favour, and he remained wicketless in most of the matches. Avishka Fernando was quite outstanding against the Indian bowlers and scored 96 runs before losing his wicket to Riyan Parag.

Riyan Parag - The Ultimate all-rounder of India

None of the players had expected Avishka Fernando to score 96 runs off 102 balls against India's bowling attack. He remained resilient and did not throw away his wicket until the beast Riyan Parag arrived. The bowlers couldn't dismiss Fernando and Mendis, and it suddenly became Parag's job to make his own debut memorable. Hence, he dismissed Fernando at 96 runs, denying the batter a century.

After that, he dismissed two batters, skipper Charith Asalanka and Dunith Wellalage. In eight overs, Parag took three wickets and conceded just 42 runs. He bowled brilliantly in his debut match and now it's time for him to bat well and secure his place in the team.
