Day four of the 1st Test match started on a good note as India claimed the fourth wicket of Australia. Opener Usman Khawaja departed for four runs in 13 balls, leaving the hosts disappointed and stranded. With four wickets down and a mountain-like score to chase, Travis Head walked into the crease carrying hope for the hosts. There is a little possibility that Head and Steven Smith can form a partnership and lead Australia to victory.

Irrespective of whoever is on the crease, India bowlers have been consistently bowling well in the final innings of the match. Bumrah and Siraj have already taken two wickets each while Harshit Rana is troubling the batters with his variations, especially Head. However, during Siraj's over, the ball touched Head's pad and the players started appealing for LBW.

Watch the video here:

Siraj was absolutely confident about the wicket and didn't even turn back to check the on-field umpire's decision. Turns out, the umpire didn't give it it. But the players were confident enough to go for a DRS. The decision went up to the third umpire but it was not out since the ball wasn't entirely hitting the stumps and was 'on umpire's call.' Head survived but the team couldn't believe it.

He (Jaiswal) played really well: Josh Hazelwood

Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a blistering century against Australia in the second innings. He scored 161 runs in 297 balls, hitting 15 boundaries and three sixes. Jaiswal is a young lad but plays like an experienced person. It was his first visit to Australia but his shots against Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins didn't make it feel like that. Bowler Josh Hazelwood praised the 22-year-old batter for his commitment to the game.

"He (Jaiswal) played really well. Good player. We went through our plans. We hung it outside off for a bit with an off-side field. We tried straight, we tried the bouncers. We tried a lot of things. He negated everything. credit to him. He batted well," said Hazelwood before the day four started.
