Arun Jaitley stadium is set to welcome Virat Kohli back into the Ranji Trophy fold on Thursday. Ayush Badoni will lead Delhi in their final group match against Railways which will feature India’s former skipper in the playing XI after 12 years. Fans had already started thronging the entry to the stadium hours before the match could start.
Few videos doing the rounds showed fans breaking into ‘RCB’ chants. There were lots of fans waiting to be let in as DDCA had announced free entry into the stadium. Arun Jaitley Stadium is expected to attract lots of fans to watch their local hero in action. Huge security deployment is in store to make sure Kohli’s domestic return happens without any hassle.

Ayush Badoni led- Delhi comes into the match after their huge loss to Saurashtra in the last encounter in Rajkot. Ravindra Jadeja had taken 12 wickets in the match to show his form with the ball. Rishabh Pant was part of the Delhi side but had failed to come good with the bat. Meanwhile, KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav are also expected to make their domestic cricket returns ahead of the ODI series against England and 2025 Champions Trophy.
Delhi’s manager reveals Virat Kohli’s human side
Mahesh Bhati who happens to be the team manager for Delhi has revealed the human side of Virat Kohli. It has been a huge boost for many Delhi players who get to rub shoulders with India’s former skipper for the first time.
During his chat with Times of India, Mahesh Bhati said “He is still the same. He is the same Virat for everyone. In fact, on the first day of the training session, he went inside the dressing room and carried his own kit bag. Then, he practiced the entire day and carried his kit bag back to the dressing room,"
Delhi’s team manager also added "I said, 'Virat, teri help kara dete hain, He replied, 'Bhaia, kya baat kar rahe ho? Mere khelne ka samaan hai, mai khud leke jaunga. He carried the kit bag on his shoulders and went inside the dressing room,"
