The second season of Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) came to an end. Majhi Mumbai won the title by beating Srinagar Ke Veer in the finals by three wickets with three balls to spare. The pulsating match saw Ankur Singh hit the winning runs to bring the title home in the final match which was played in Thane.

After the final was won by the Mumbai players, they were seen near their skipper Vijay Pawle, who lifted the title trophy. Pawle scored 22 not out from nine balls with three huge sixes while Ankur was not out on seven off just four balls with the winning six as his only boundary contribution. 

Vijay Pawle was named Man of the Match for his knock of 22 and taking two key catches. Sagar Ali from Srinagar was named player of the series for his 493 runs during the course of the season and also taking a wicket. Mumbai players could be seen overjoyed after winning the title led by their skipper. 

Majhi Mumbai win ISPL season two 

It was Srinagar who batted first and scored 120 for the loss of five wickets from their allotted ten overs. Openers Sagar Ali and Akash Tarekar added 108 runs for the opening wicket in 8.1 overs. Ali who finished the tournament with 493 runs scored 40 off 23 balls with four huge sixes. 

Akash Tarekar was the best batter for Srinagar with 59 off 32 balls with three boundaries and five sixes. Rajendra Singh and Abhishek Kumar were the best bowlers for Mumbai with two wickets each. 

Chasing 121 to win, Mumbai lost opener Mohammad Nadeem for 11 in the first ball of the fourth over. Yogesh Penkar and Mahendra Chandan were out soon after scoring eight and 13 runs each. Rajat Mundhe was the best batter for Mumbai with 23 runs off 18 balls with a four and two sixes. By the time the winning runs were hit each and every Mumbai player headed to the ground to show their happiness of winning the title.
