While talking to former cricketer and commentator Ravi Shastri before the fourth Test match, Kohli spoke about his form and preparations for the upcoming games. The player took responsibility for his 'lack of discipline' in the game which was the reason behind his dismissals in the previous game.

"I agree. The last two or three innings haven’t gone the way I wanted it to. I haven’t been disciplined enough to stick in there and grind it out. And that’s the challenge that Test cricket brings," said Virat Kohli.

Kohli is an asset to the Indian team and is an important player in the middle order. However, his consistent struggle facing the outside off-stump balls has been haunting the player for a long time. If he scores well in the upcoming games, India's chances of winning the game will increase. This is what the team will be aiming for, considering their WTC 2025 qualifications.

Australia to bat first in the fourth Test match against India

After losing three consecutive tosses in the BGT series, Pat Cummins' luck finally went his way as he went on to win the toss in the fourth game against India. Australia are batting first at the MCG, with Usman Khawaja and Sam Konstas opening for the team. The debutant Konstas has been impressive with the bat so far, trying to reverse sweep Jasprit Bumrah in the third over.

India's bowling has been terrific from both ends with Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. Taking early wickets will help the team create pressure on the hosts. This is an important game for both teams and the players will be looking forward to playing their best game possible.
