Rajasthan Royals (RR) players are currently enjoying the highs of winning their first Indian Premier League (IPL) 20205 game. The Royals had beaten Chennai Super Kings in a close encounter last week. The next match for the Royals is away to tabletoppers Punjab Kings at the Mullanpur Stadium on Saturday. Meanwhile, England pacer Jofra Archer and teammate Kwena Maphaka took some time off to visit the Kaziranga National Park recently.

Archer, who celebrated his 30th birthday on Tuesday, was seen with South African pace sensation taking in the sights and sounds in Kaziranga. The duo could be seen riding a Jeep and clicking a few pictures in a short video posted by the Royals on their Instagram handle.
Kwena Maphaka, who made his IPL debut for the Mumbai Indians last season, was released at the end of the campaign. The left-arm seamer was picked by the Royals during the auctions and is yet to play a game. Archer, on the other hand, had a slow start to his IPL 2025 season but has managed to pick up key wickets in the last few encounters.
Sanju Samson returns as captain of RR after given fitness clearance
30-year-old Sanju Samson is set to return as the skipper of the side after playing the first few games as a pure batter. Samson had hurt his finger during the India vs. England T20I series at home earlier in the year. Riyan Parag led the side in the first three games, where the Royals lost two and then beat Chennai Super Kings in the third game of the campaign.
RR put out a statement that read that Samson was given the all-clear to keep wickets and lead the side going forward. The statement from RR read “With this positive development, Samson will return to his full leadership role and resume captaincy from the team's next match against the Punjab Kings.”
The statement further read, “The franchise is encouraged by Samson's progress and looks forward to having him back in action behind the stumps and leading the side." The Royals are currently ninth in the table with two points from three games ahead of their game against Punjab.
